Original UK Mono 1st Press Loud Cut LP
Parlophone (PMC 1267)
Rare UK original mono first pressing, the so called "loud cut" on the yellow and black Parlophone label with the "Sold in the UK..." and "The Gramophone Co Ltd..." text.
This is an outstanding copy with clear and strong near mint audio
The sleeve is in a truly exceptional near mint condition. There are no tears, no writing, no splits, no bends, no dirtying to the rear. There really is very little keeping this from mint. Even the sleeve opening is still sharp. Would be near impossible to upgrade.
The labels are in near mint condition. No writing, no tears, just the very very slightest touch of spindle wear on one side only and just a couple of ultra light spider marks on each side. You can see from these labels that the record has barely been played.
Matrix, Mothers and Stampers:
XEX 579-1 (4 HL)
XEX 580-1 (2 OD)
Comes with the correct poly lined Emitex inner sleeve in excellent condition.
The vinyl on this copy is a solid excellent condition. It still has its original deep gloss sheen and in daylight looks near mint mint. There are no scratches and no long hairlines. When angled under two 50 watt halogen spotlights i can just make out the lightest of paper scuffs/removal marks.
Playback is even better than the visual grade with a wonderful strong, clear and vibrant mono sound. There is no evidence of groovewear at all. Playback is very close to flawless. We played it through on our most sensitive set up with a Nagaoka cartridge and Nagaoka elliptical stylus through Mordaunt Short speakers.
Please note that we grade all records the same way, whether they're 40 years old or one year old.
